Unbelievable!

My battery is about to die so I don't have long.

We arrived in Pusiano Italy this morning and just moved into our little Villa attached to the monastery. It is probably one of the most beautifull places I've seen in real life. Out of a movie. I have the immediate urge to go watch Under the Tuscan Sun.

The water is turquoise. There are flowers everywhere. The weather is perfect. There is a castle across the lake. I will put pictures up tomorrow.

Breakdown Leads to Breakthrough

Maggie got a blood clot in her shoulder, they think because of a repetitive up and down motion.
I visited her earlier today and she looks pretty good. She finally has got bigger guns...or should I say one bigger gun!
She's doing great and they say she should be able to travel on sunday.

I've been kind of sick for the past three days. I hope I'm well for the travel on sunday too.
I hate being sick, but I'm trying to take this with a grain of salt. Last week was a really good training week. This one is a rest week, so I need to really treat it as such. So, I've been resting.

We travel on sunday. That means we start competing three weeks from tomorrow. Crrrrraaaaaazzzziinnneeeessss. Very exciting!

Down Hill from Here

We just completed that last hard week of training of the season. Additionally, it turned out to be the most rewarding for me. I know I hit this past week with 100%. I was extremely happy with it. I must have hit the wall at least a dozen of times, and each time I pushed through. I completed each workout coming out a better athlete than I entered.

Wed. must have been the hardest. We have 6x3k. Emily and I switched off wash-leads. Thank goodness, because I wouldn't have been able to do it had we not.
I was exhausted by the end of the first two, and then, somewhere before the 6th things got easier. Maybe it was when we crossed over the hump of number three, or maybe it was something else.

I finished with my arms shaking and not being able to move.

It was a great feeling.
